Turkish Delights!

Yesterday we went to the Grand Bazaar and a couple times I thought we might die in the chaos of that maze. Favorite phrase was "How may I hustle you today?" Trina paid 50 cents to pee in a hole in the ground and I'm super jealous.
We went to Starbucks! The guy was really sweet and really amused. We took pictures together. I had Turkish coffee. It's espresso-sized and there is about a half inch of grounds in the bottom when you finish. It's strong.
In the evening, we walked down to the old train station that was the destination of the Orient Express and saw the Whirling Dervishes. It was amazing. They whirled for at least 40 minutes! They really went into some kind of a trance and really took it to another place.
The call to prayer blasted out at 4:30am this morning, which proceeded to wake up the city's entire menagerie. So we made coffee, went up to the rooftop terrace, curled up onto a big pillow, and enjoyed watching the sun rise over the Bosphorous and light up the Blue Mosque.
After breakfast, we went on a cruise up the Bosphorous on this cool old boat. We went up beneath Bosphorous Bridge 1 and Bosphorous Bridge 2 (how original!) saw the shortest distance between two continents. We didn't disembark on the Asian side, but I'm going to chalk it up as a visit to Asia.
Then we went to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar. Piles of saffron and tea abounded! On the way back I had fish fresh from the Bosphorous at a roadside stand and sat on the railing and realized with delight that we were the ONLY tourists eating lunch like the locals!
