We broke into the Vatican

And the Treasury of Santa Maria alla Maggiore. And a stranger's hotel room. But we really can explain!!! And really! If they didn't want people to break into the Vatican, they would have made higher walls. Plus the Swiss guard guys really aren't that threatening with their frilly little outfits. Trina said it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission, but we had already asked permission from two different guards and they both told us no. Good times.
The Vatican was just incredible. The Sistene Chapel was breathtaking. I loved the Last Judgement. Mom loved St Peter's basillica. Trina loved it all. The relics they have there are unbelievable. Part of the cross, St Peter's bones, the Pieta sculpture. It was just so much! And I really want to go down into the Vatican basement and explore. But we couldn't find how to break into that. Our guide thinks there are a box of willies down there.
Everyone needs to go to Rome. It's almost unfair to try to describe how cool it is, because you just have to experience it.
Yesterday we blitzed Pisa on our way to the Cinque Terre. Took the obligatory holding up the tower photo. Then we sprinted back to the train, dodging buses. We even ran out in front of traffic when the Italians were standing at the curb. We had beer at the La Spezia train station McDonald's. Now we're enjoying the non-existent pace of Vernazza. We're going to eat, drink, and shop in every town in the Cinque Terre today. Everywhere we go, Trina picks up guys. Trina is reading this right now and she says she can explain!! At the wine store last night, the lady gave us 6 plastic cups for our wine, so we could pick up more men. Wish us luck!
